• 1. Foundation: documentation, package, CLI shell, input validation, typed errors
• 2. Identification: ELF header and file metadata
• 3. Structure: section and program-header tables
• 4. Dependencies: dynamic table, interpreter, RPATH, RUNPATH
• 5. Symbols: .symtab and .dynsym; stripped binaries remain successful inspections
• 6. Security: PIE, NX, RELRO, canary indicators (plus fortify, RWX-segment, and RPATH checks)
• 7. Native GUI: Linux/macOS/Windows builds; file picker, drag-and-drop, virtualized inspection views
• 8. JSON: versioned schema (schema_version: 1) and category flag combinations

• 9. Hardening: cross-architecture fixtures, malformed and fuzz-derived regressions, ongoing cargo-fuzz runs

From the code audit (candidates for the next release)

• Symbol versioning report (.gnu.version / DT_VERNEED) for import versioning
• Per-symbol string caps (tighter than the current global 4 MiB text budget)
• GUI smoke tests on a virtual display in CI

Deferred (explicitly out of scope)

• C++ / Rust symbol demangling
• PE / Mach-O decoding
• Disassembly
• All network-based enrichment — permanently incompatible with the local-only guarantee
