Summary
This is intentionally separate from #5383, which fixes the fake-empty state.
Verification
dart format --output=none --set-exit-if-changed lib/features/channels/channel_messages_provider.dart test/features/channels/channel_messages_provider_test.dartflutter analyzeflutter test --reporter expanded— 1,263 tests passed[NO REAL DATA]for iPhone p50/p95 until a private iOS build is available.
