- Repair an older saved stretch default when the user explicitly chooses Native
- Skip display changes when the requested resolution, refresh rate, and explicit scaling are already active, including repeated Stretch/Native selections
The unsigned app may trigger "Windows protected your PC." Verify the SHA-256 below (Get-FileHash .\vstretch.exe -Algorithm SHA256), then choose More info → Run anyway. Privacy: https://vstretch-blocksdev.mail900512.chatgpt.site/privacy.html
v1.1.1
vstretch 1.1.1
This patch fixes primary display detection, display change errors, and stretch scaling.
Fixes
- Detect the primary monitor's panel resolution and refresh rate instead of using the first active display.
- Report the requested resolution and the actual Windows display change error when switching fails.
- Request full-screen scaling so 4:3 stretch resolutions fill a widescreen display.
Install
Download vstretch.exe below and run it on Windows.
vstretch # Open the TUI

v1.1.0
vstretch 1.1.0
Simplify config, add an optional native override, and make the TUI clearer about what mode you are in.
Highlights
- Config is now a single
[stretch]target + optional[native](legacy configs auto-migrate) - TUI: Change default native… picks from real Windows display modes (or Auto-detect)
- Mode badge:
NATIVE/STRETCH/PANEL/OTHER - Stretch refresh prefers panel Hz unless you set
refreshon[stretch]
