v1.4.0
1.4.0 (2026-10-08)
Posters can now use any of twelve fonts, not just Poppins.
Features
- posters: a choice of fonts (#29) (c20a8e0)
- Twelve fonts for the poster text: Poppins (still the default), Bebas Neue, Abril Fatface, Cinzel Decorative, Limelight, Bangers, Creepster, Audiowide, Rye, Pacifico, Titan One and Courier Prime.
- Choose one for every poster, a whole section or a single collection. A collection's own font wins over its section's, which wins over the one for every poster.
- A new Font picker in the dashboard's Design tab, under Text. The preview redraws as you pick.
- A new
fontsetting underposters:inconfig.yml. The font's own name works too, likefont: Bebas Neue, and a name CineSets doesn't know stops with a message listing the fonts. - Streaming posters use the font for their label and subtitle, like the other text settings.
- Each font has its own size and line spacing, so they all look about as big as each other. Long titles still shrink to fit.
- Text with a letter a font doesn't have is drawn in Poppins instead of showing empty boxes. Creepster and Rye have no ō or č, for example.
Bug fixes
- Gradient titles no longer cut off letters that reach left of where the text starts, like a "j" or a swash. No built-in poster looks any different because of it.
Documentation
- The README, the preview page (new Fonts section and picture), the dashboard guide and
config.example.ymlcover the new setting.

git pull && ./install.sh, or on Dockergit pull && docker compose build && docker compose up -d.- Nothing changes until you choose a font. With the default, every poster comes out exactly as before, so updating doesn't remake or re-upload any of them.
- Choosing a font remakes only the posters it applies to, on the next run.
- The fonts are all under the SIL Open Font License 1.1. Each has its licence in
assets/fonts, andNOTICElists them.

CineSets 1.0.0
The first release of CineSets: automatic, beautiful collections for your media server.
What it does
- Trending Top 20 for movies and TV (refreshed every 6 hours, talk shows filtered out) plus full trending collections
- Popular on Netflix, Prime Video, Disney+, HBO Max, Apple TV+, Hulu, Paramount+, Peacock and Stan, each with the service's logo
- Charts, genres, best of, kids and seasonal collections from public mdblist lists
- 65 movie franchises built from fixed title and year lists, in release order
- Posters made from your own library and one Collections page order for every user
Safe by design
- Only ever changes collections it created, and checks each still carries the name it gave it
- Writes only what changed and stops when the server is struggling
adoptandremovefor reinstalls and clean uninstalls
Install
- Linux:
git clone https://github.com/blurbery/cinesets.git /opt/cinesets && cd /opt/cinesets && ./install.sh - Docker: see the README (the container runs as a normal user)
Tested on every change against real Emby 4.10 and Jellyfin 10.10 and 12.2 servers, with weekly checks against the newest Emby, Emby beta and Jellyfin releases. Jellyfin support is marked beta until more people have used it on real libraries. Silo support is coming.
CineSets by blurbery, under AGPL-3.0-or-later with the additional terms in NOTICE.
