lazpy 0.9.2

Choose a tag to compare

@bmander bmander released this 14 Aug 07:28
8fa043c

Documentation only. The library is identical to 0.9.1.

  • A LAZ-to-GeoTIFF worked example: rasterizing a point cloud to a 1-metre
    digital surface model and writing it with rasterio, with the reasoning
    the README had no room for.
  • types.rst retitled to "Reader and Writer exchange types".

Tagged so the new page reaches the stable docs, which Read the Docs builds
from the greatest tag rather than from the default branch.

lazpy 0.9.1

@bmander bmander released this 14 Aug 06:46
90fe8fe

Fixes lazpy --help, which treated the flag as a filename and exited with
FileNotFoundError: [Errno 2] No such file or directory: '--help'.

  • -h / --help print the usage message and exit 0.
  • Any other --prefixed argument is reported as an unrecognised option on
    stderr and exits 2, rather than being opened as a file.

No library changes; the reading and writing API is identical to 0.9.

lazpy 0.9

@bmander bmander released this 14 Aug 06:05
9f0c52e

First release to PyPI.

lazpy reads and writes LAS and LAZ point clouds. Point reading is
dependency-free; numpy is needed only for the array API (Reader.arrays()
and Reader.xyz()) and pyproj only for Reader.crs and Writer(crs=...),
and both are imported on use rather than on import.

Wheels are published for CPython 3.10 through 3.14 on manylinux and
musllinux (x86_64 and aarch64), macOS (arm64 and x86_64) and Windows
(AMD64), alongside an sdist that carries the C sources, the test suite and
the test data so it builds and tests from scratch.
