Phone Screenshots

Using my template file phone_screenshot_template.svg and InkScape. Follow these design patterns to ensure consistency in the graphics.

Gradient Background

Use https://mdigi.tools/gradient-generator/ to create the gradient with the primary color being from the app theme. Then a secondary color that is well suited. Use the following dimensions.

  • Gradient Type: Linear Gradient
  • Direction: Top to Bottom
  • Width: 1824px
  • Height: 3500px

Phone Screenshot

Use https://developer.android.com/distribute/marketing-tools/device-art-generator to get the frame of the device. Using an Pixel 6 emulator to get the correctly sized image. The image that is downloaded should have the size of 1216 x 2562px.

InkScape Coordinates

The canvas size should be the same as the gradient size in px.

  • Set the gradient to X:0px, Y:0px.
  • Set the framed phone screenshot to X:304px, Y:800px.
  • Author text: Arial, 40pt, X:1450px, Y:3425px.
  • Body text: Arial, 64pt, X:(1824-tWidth / 2), Y:196px.
  • Headline text: Arial, 84pt, Bold, X:(1824-tWidth / 2), Y:650px.

Exporting

In InkScape you can export as a png.

Tablet Screenshots

These are not as important to portray in the same way as the phone screenshots. For these just take the unframed screenshots for a 10-inch tablet. For the screenshots mimic most of the phone screenshots. Avoid any that do not make sense without the helping text.
