Sensors
PowerSync automatically creates sensor entities for energy monitoring. The sensors available depend on your battery system and whether Smart Optimization is enabled.
All battery systems get these real-time power sensors:

The dashboard's Import Price gauge shows the effective live price source, such as KWatch, AEMO, or AEMO fallback. The label follows the current import-price sensor attributes, so it changes when KWatch falls back and recovers.

Note: Price forecast sensors are most useful for dynamic pricing providers (Amber, Octopus Agile/Flux, AEMO, Flow Power, Localvolts, EPEX). Fixed-price providers still use known tariff periods for optimization.
sensor.power_sync_lp_load_forecast shows the final load forecast seen by the optimizer. When Planned EV load forecast sensor is configured, that forecast includes the EV overlay from the selected Home Assistant sensor. The planned EV debug attributes are also exposed through the optimization API as planned_ev_load_forecast_w, planned_ev_load_peak_kw, and planned_ev_load_kwh.
Created when PowerSync's built-in Solcast client is enabled. When the Solcast HA integration or Open-Meteo Solar Forecast HA integration is installed, PowerSync can also read those forecast sensors directly for Smart Optimization without creating these built-in Solcast entities.
