The current built-in download manager in Brave for Android can be slow for very large files and sometimes fails to resume downloads after a connection drop. Dedicated apps like 1DM (formerly IDM+) handle these scenarios much better with multithreading and advanced retry logic.

It makes more sense for Brave to include those speed enhancing features if not already implemented. Like multi-threading, advanced retry logic, downloading x fragments based on download speed. External download managers should not be tightly integrated, it would make more sense to keep those as extensions in my view. Specifically to reduce maintenance burden and feature creep. And to keep the code simple and focused on web browsing.

I get what you're trying to say, but adding an external download manager option will be great because we already have powerful, trusted apps like 1dm or adm. Those are great for downloading anything. I personally use 1dm for a long time, and it is a real deal and life saver in many cases.

Don't know but they not doing this ig so I'm using 1dm browser it self it's pretty good at blocking ads too so i use that instead now
