Description
In the last 24 hours it's happened twice that I cannot reach a 192.168.x.y address. Two different systems, one Windows one Mac:
Tried with private/incognito, extensions off, etc.
The addresses are totally reachable:
$ curl 192.168.50.1
<HTML><HEAD><script>window.top.location.href='/Main_Login.asp';</script>
</HEAD></HTML>
Also the sites are reachable using Firefox (Windows) and Safari (Mac):
Here both next to each other, same system, same time.
I tried clearing brave://net-internals/#sockets and dns.
It also happened with 192.168.0.1 earlier today on Windows, connecting to a Chita router. Ping worked, Firefox worked, but Brave said unreachable.
I changed ISPs so I probably connected to my asus and the chita a hundred times each in the last two days, seems like after the 50th time Brave just says no-go, and I have to switch to Firefox/Safari..
One difference: earlier today when this happened on Windows, Brave WAS able to load the pages using a private session, and clearing sockets appeared to resolve the issue (shield and extensions made no difference). However these fixes are not working for Mac.
Steps to reproduce
- Try to connect to 192.168.x.y
- Small chance it will fail. Once it does, it will keep failing.
Actual result
See description.
Expected result
LAN pages should load. They are pingable, curlable, and load in other browsers.
Reproduces how often
Intermittent issue
