Apollo Save Patcher v2.5.0

@bucanero bucanero released this 10 Oct 12:46

Desktop app

The first release of the desktop app. Apollo has run on the consoles themselves for years — this brings the same patch engine and the same patch database to Windows, macOS and Linux, so you can work on your saves at a computer.

What it does

Point it at a folder of saves and it finds them, whatever console they came from — filter by console, by name or title ID, or down to just the saves that have codes. Pick one and you get its code list: the same .savepatch database the console apps use, bundled offline, 2,252 patches across six systems. Tick what you want and apply.

Beyond applying codes, it does the whole-save work the console versions do:

  • Decrypt and re-encrypt the console's own layer, for the consoles currently supported (PS3 and PSP).
  • Resign PARAM.SFO and PARAM.PFD after a file changes.
  • Sign a save to your account, so a save from someone else will load, or re-bind it to your console for the saves that are console-locked.

And the things you want when a code doesn't do quite what you need: a hex editor over the save, the raw patch text, per-code editing, and the result written back out as a .savepatch of your own.

Consoles

PS1, PS2, PSP, PS3, PS4 and PS Vita, with each console's own encryption handled where there is one — PSP's per-title keys, PS3's PARAM.PFD, and the full PS4 re-sign, account ID and console hash and all.
PS1 and PS2 saves are read and written in the signed .PSV containers that are how those saves reach a computer in the first place, icons included: the PS1's block is drawn from its own sixteen colours, and the PS2's 3D model is rendered and spun.

Getting it

Downloads below — macOS (universal), Linux x86-64, Windows 64-bit and 32-bit.
The Windows builds are self-contained and carry a software OpenGL renderer for machines with no usable driver. The app runs on anything back to OpenGL 1.1, Windows 7 included.

The user guide covers setup and the common tasks, and is in the app under Help.
Full detail for this release is in the changelog.
