TypeScript 6 changed the default module resolution to es6 (ESM) when target is es2019, causing dist output to use ESM exports without .js extensions. This broke the CommonJS require() in examples/example.js. Explicitly set module=commonjs to preserve CJS output format. Also applies prettier formatting to all src/*.ts files.
