TabPods 1.2.0
Fixed
- A tab could not be dropped at the end of a pod followed by another pod:
Firefox does not know about capsules, so it put the tab either before the
last tab of the pod or right after the next capsule, into the next pod. - While a tab was dragged, the capsules after it moved left by the width of
the tab, so the room for the tab could open on the wrong side of a capsule.
New
- Between the last tab of a pod and the capsule of the next one, a tab
dropped closer to that last tab joins its pod, and one dropped closer to the
capsule stays out of pods. Past the middle of the capsule it joins the next
pod, as before. - While you drag, the underline of the tab shows the pod it will join (no
underline: none), and the capsules move aside together with the tabs, so
the room for the tab opens where it will land.
Tested with Firefox 158 on Windows 11.

TabPods 1.1.0
New
- Unloading of inactive tabs, set per pod: right-click a capsule →
Unload inactive tabs and pick 10 minutes, 30 minutes, 1 hour or
6 hours. A tab of the pod that was not switched to and played no audio or
video for that long is unloaded to free memory, pinned and collapsed tabs
included. It stays in its pod and loads again when you switch to it. - Tabs that Firefox does not let unload, such as
about:configor a page
asking to stay because of unsaved input, are left alone, and so are tabs
with picture-in-picture or sharing the camera, microphone or screen. - A video playing without sound does not keep its tab loaded: Firefox does
not report it. Unloaded tabs look like tabs not restored yet after a
restart; to dim them, setbrowser.tabs.fadeOutUnloadedTabstotruein
about:config.
Tested with Firefox 158 on Windows 11.

TabPods 1.0.1
Bug fix release.
Fixed
- With a collapsed pod that holds pinned tabs, the first regular tabs (as many
as there were hidden pinned tabs) could not be reordered by dragging, and
dropping a dragged tab left it stuck on top of its neighbors. - New tabs opened from a link in that state were placed too far to the right.
- A tab dragged in from another window in that state could end up pinned.
Tested with Firefox 158 on Windows 11.
