Margins v0.4.4
Margins 0.4.3 keeps aligned transcripts visible to your vault and makes hosted
browser and mobile capture reliable.
margins archive onmoves aligned Markdown transcripts into a synced
_margins/folder so they stay visible to vault sync, while audio, SQLite,
and live checkpoints remain private;margins archive offrestores the
hidden.margins/layout andmargins archive statusreports the current
state.- Hosted browser capture now runs live Parakeet transcription over streamed
PCM and persists live transcript checkpoints, so long sessions survive
reconnects. - Mobile hosted capture is simpler and more legible: hero recording controls,
a rolling RMS voice-memo waveform, and no pre-capture gate. - Hosted microphone permission, level telemetry, and settings contracts are
hardened, keychain-safe, and select the correct speech-model cache. - The PWA service worker no longer mishandles cloned responses and now
advertises the mobile-web-app metadata needed for install.
Official binaries include the complete recording and recall composition. The
public open-core source remains available for audit and extension; capture and
workspace contents remain local to the installed application.

Margins v0.4.2
Margins 0.4.2 makes recall and capture workflows feel native from anywhere in
an Obsidian vault.
margins recallnow mirrorsenzyme catalyze: interactive terminals show
the activated-bridge and surfaced-note tree, while pipes and agent capture
retain the compatible JSON envelope.margins, margins new, margins setup, andmargins recalldiscover the
containing vault when invoked from nested folders such asinbox/.- A completed
margins newsession now points users through workspace setup
before Claude distillation when recall has not been initialized yet. - Direct fallback results remain visible in the interactive recall tree even
when no catalyst bridge is available.
Official binaries include the complete recording and recall composition. The
public open-core source remains available for audit and extension; capture and
workspace contents remain local to the installed application.
Margins v0.4.1
Margins 0.4.1 makes fresh workspace setup agent-guided and retrieval-aware.
margins setupprovisions machine models and prints a minimal prompt for an
agent to complete workspace setup from the intended base folder.margins guide workspace-setupembeds the complete setup workflow.margins scannow inspects folders, tags, wikilinks, frontmatter, page
entities, and running logs before policy selection ormargins init.- Recall policy and model selection are Margins-owned under
~/.margins/;
databases and target projections remain vault-local under.margins/recall/. - Exact-phrase rescue and richer recall XML make retrieval results easier for
agents to verify against real notes.
Official binaries include the complete recording and recall composition. The
public open-core source remains available for audit and extension; capture and
workspace contents remain local to the installed application.
This release also keeps the public source manifest and lockfile versions in
sync so the tagged open-core tree builds reproducibly with --locked.

workspace contents remain local to the installed application.
Margins v0.3.1
Official Margins binaries are built from the private source-of-truth and include
non-public platform capture adapters composed with the public open-core CLI.
The open-source crates and export remain available in this repository for audit,
extension, and source builds; building that export alone does not reproduce the
official recording binary.
No recording data or hosted capture service is added by this packaging model.
Capture remains local to the installed application.
v0.3.0
Official Margins CLI v0.3.0 prebuilt binaries for macOS (Apple Silicon and Intel) and x86_64 Linux.
These official prebuilt binaries include platform adapters for native capture, the recording TUI, and platform ASR integration that are not present in the public source export. The public repository contains the open-source core; the downloadable release archives are produced and smoke-tested from the private official distribution pipeline.
Validated from private pipeline commit 8ff94ba52471e3ef6ebd119b7819eea1b85571ee against public source export 0a31aec2dc337914fa9562a193ddf9eb7cd467e7.
