16. Missing Knowledge & Independent Learning
To build out and structure the infrastructure, deployment strategy, economic model, and technical specifications for Orbit, two primary domains of domain-specific and regulatory knowledge were initially required:
Quebec Regulatory & Compliance Frameworks (Law 25 & AMF Guidelines): Specific statutory requirements for managing sensitive financial data within Quebec, including data residency mandates (storing and processing data exclusively within Canadian data centers like AWS Canada Central), PII masking protocols at ingress layers, and the governance requirements for AI system catalogs under the AMF (Autorité des marchés financiers).
Asynchronous Multi-Agent State Reconciliation Patterns: Architectural patterns for handling concurrent, multi-agent updates (from meetings, documents, and client messages) in a collaborative workspace without causing data overwrites, semantic collisions, or stale states before human advisor signoff.
How the Knowledge Was Acquired Contextual Synthesis & Domain Mapping: Leveraged professional software engineering design patterns and cloud architectural standards (such as AWS EKS multi-tenant isolation, immutable audit logging, and optimistic concurrency control) to align with enterprise financial compliance.
Regulatory Alignment: Applied established legal and data privacy standards (specifically Quebec’s Law 25 compliance requirements for consent, data localization, and AI accountability) tailored to the specific context of financial advisory practices.
