Prefer to download it directly? The disk image below is signed with a Developer ID, notarized by Apple and stapled, so it opens without a warning and verifies even offline.
Fixed
The app closed itself when Touch ID was switched on. The helper that keeps the panel alive during the fingerprint prompt was not bound to the main thread, so it put the window back from a background thread once the prompt closed. macOS aborts a process for that. It is main-thread only now, with a second guard behind it.
Recall shortcuts ignored the lock. With Require Touch ID on, Control-Command-1 through 0 still put clips on the clipboard for anyone sitting at the keyboard, card numbers included. They now open the panel and ask for your fingerprint.
Password managers could still leak through. Throwaway copies that apps mark as transient were only skipped while the password-manager setting was on. They are always skipped now, whatever your settings say.
Link previews consumed one-time links. Loading a preview means loading the page, and some links do their work the moment they open: a password reset, a magic sign-in, an unsubscribe. Previews now refuse anything that looks like one, and the setting still turns the network off entirely.
Merging two pictures threw the pictures away. It produced a clip holding their labels. Pictures are now left out of a merge, file clips contribute their real paths, and Klippy tells you what it skipped.
Dragging a clip and letting go over the list filed it again as a brand new clip.
A clip copied a second ago read "in 0s" instead of "now".
Changed
- Around 300 lines of dead code removed: an unused search fallback, a debug dump, a hash set nothing read, and preview machinery nothing rendered.
- The test suite is now 78 tests, covering the privacy rules, the preview rules and merging.
- New README, and the landing page and launch film source now live in the repo.
- The packaging script notarizes and staples the app itself, not only the disk image, so it verifies with no network.
Requires
macOS 13 Ventura or later.
