This pilot is not fully automatic. Is helps with the final phase of docking but the main interaction is in the player hands.

The pilot is not fully finished, i've ve stange troubles detecting the target dock position.

  • Target Infos : you can see your control vessel (dock or pod) and the target (dock or pod). Use the main game options to select the Vessel or target dock. Please Select the proper dock ports you'll use for this maneuver on your current vessel and on the target vessel.
  • Align Dock : align your vessel using the SAS toward the Target Dock direction.
  • Main Thrust Brake : starts the pilot in Main Brake Mode

Use it as a first brake when being close to the target.

  • Rcs Final Approach

Main Trust Brake

A pilot that will remove delta Speed with the target using the Main Thrust. You'll have to select a pod aligned with the Main thrust to have this mode properly run.

The pilot have only 2 phases :

  • Rotate to retrograde : Rotate the vessel toward retrogarde direction with target (uses the Warp settings)
  • Burn : Burn until the speed reach close to zero

RCS Modes

Manual

The Manual Mode uses RCS to lower speed in any direction. You can use it to freely use your RCS and brake in the wanted direction. It is the best way to place the vessel in front of the target dock

Auto

This final mode must be started when in front of the target Dock

  • Center Axis : Center the vessel in the main axis, but without changing the distance to the target

The adjust slider will can be used to adapt your speed.

  • Forward

ajust the speed and position of the vessel in the forward direction.

When starting the Auto Approach the vessel will start final docking phase. the speed can be adjusted using the Speed Adapt Slider
