BareStats v1.1.0

An ultra-lightweight, zero-overhead native telemetry overlay for Windows. Engineered for local AI/ML workloads (Ollama, PyTorch, vLLM, ComfyUI), competitive gaming, and non-intrusive desktop monitoring.

What's New in v1.1.0

  • Precision VRAM Allocation Modes (vram_mode):

    • physical (default): Reports gross hardware silicon capacity (e.g. 16.0 GB) matching retail packaging and Windows Task Manager.
    • usable: Reports net allocatable video memory excluding static driver reservations (e.g. 15.6 GB), preventing unexpected Out of Memory (OOM) allocation failures during local LLM and diffusion model loading.

  • Expanded Multi-Vendor GPU Support:

    • AMD Radeon: Added native telemetry for discrete Radeon GPUs, tracking silicon temperatures, board power draw, and fan speeds (RPM and percentage).
    • Intel Arc & Iris Xe: Added native telemetry for Intel discrete and integrated graphics, surfacing package temperatures, power draw, and fan speeds.
    • NVIDIA: Isolated driver and firmware static reservations to deliver a true 0.0 GB idle baseline.

  • Universal Graphics Engine Monitoring:

    • Added native GPU utilization tracking for integrated graphics (Intel UHD / Iris Xe, AMD APUs) and Qualcomm Snapdragon X Elite (ARM64) systems, ensuring load percentages display accurately on laptops and APUs without discrete vendor software.

  • Simultaneous Side-by-Side Multi-GPU Monitoring:

    • Monitor multiple GPUs simultaneously on a single overlay line (e.g. primary discrete GPU alongside integrated graphics, or dual workstation GPUs) using gpu_index = 0, 1 or gpu_index = all.

  • Automated Verification & Driver Hardening:

    • Integrated an automated multi-vendor verification test suite into GitHub CI to validate telemetry accuracy across different architectures.
    • Fortified driver lifecycle recovery to ensure seamless, crash-free reconnection after display sleep, monitor disconnects, or GPU driver resets.
