Highlights come in shades of their level's colour, Hindi reads as Hindi, and a few things you write come out as written.

Highlights in shades

Since 0.10.28 each level has its own colour, so a highlight says where it was made. @vcdim wanted to tell highlights apart from each other too (#59). Now:

  • A highlight keeps its level's colour and has a shade of it: light, medium or deep. The dots beside Highlight, in the bar over a selection, pick the shade. Highlight and Note use the shade you picked last.
  • In a note, the dots change its shade.
  • In Aa, under Highlights, each level's colour can be any of eight: yellow, orange, red, pink, purple, blue, teal or green. If two levels get the same colour, it tells you, since a highlight then no longer shows which level it was made at.
  • The cards, the notes list and the notes you export show the shades. In Markdown, a light or deep highlight has a tag (#highlight/light, #highlight/deep).

Highlights you already have are medium.

Hindi

Hindi is one of the reading languages, but TextFold split its words at their vowel signs, and a Hindi paragraph was one long sentence. Thanks to @Pharex38 (#58):

  • Hindi words stay whole, so the word counts and the move from one level to the next follow real words.
  • A Hindi sentence ends at the danda (।), and Brief closes a Hindi sentence with one rather than with a period.
  • Any text written with combining accents keeps its words whole too.

This applies to text TextFold reads from now on. A document you already have keeps the words it was read with.

Formulas as written

  • The words in a formula's \text{} read as written: 50% off, no longer 50\% off. This goes for a formula in a Markdown document and for one from a Word document.
  • In a Word formula, normal text with %, &, _, ^, # or $ in it no longer breaks the whole formula. Thanks to @Pharex38 (#60).

Documents you import from now on show this.

Authors from Quarto

A Markdown document's front matter gives its title and authors in more of the ways YAML allows. Thanks to @Pharex38 (#57):

  • Authors written as Quarto and pandoc write them (- name: Jane Doe), without their affiliations, and a name given in parts (given, family).
  • A title written over several lines (title: >).
  • A comment after a value (title: Paper # draft) is no longer part of it.

A Topic card dragged into a note

A Topic card dragged into a note carries the summary under its title, not only the few words of its topic. Thanks to @adalach (#56).
