New
- Tribes 2 (TribesPad) is in the library under PC, with its own icon. PadMint builds it for iPhone, iPad and Mac from the free official Tribes 2 download.
Clearer library
- The filters say what they hold: Build your copy, Ready-made apps, Not on your devices and All systems.
- A game that's already installed and current shows Details instead of a Build or Get the app button.
- A ready-made app with a newer release shows Update.
- In My games, games without an update are grouped as Installed, nothing to update. Hover over a plain Installed badge to see that PadMint can't check that app for updates.

On a Mac or Linux, click the version button at the bottom of PadMint's sidebar. On Windows, close PadMint's window, download the ZIP again, extract it and open the launcher in the new folder. Your game files, builds and saves stay where they are.

Fixed
- The iOS 27 heads-up on the finish screen says plainly what happens: a copy built with Xcode 27 that lacks the startup Apple requires will probably close as soon as you open it on iOS or iPadOS 27, before it can write a log. It points you to the game's page for a fixed version.
- PaperPad 0.2.2, F0X 0.1.0 and SnapPad 0.2.0 had exactly that problem. Their new versions, PaperPad 0.2.3, F0X 0.1.1 and SnapPad 0.2.1, fix it. If you built one of those older versions with Xcode 27, build the game again in PadMint and install it over your copy; your saves stay. The compatibility page has the iOS 27 check for every game.

PadMint 0.5.10: Settings, and a tidier My games
Download
What's new
- Settings, at the bottom of the sidebar: language, PadMint's version and update, your devices, where your copies are saved, PadMint's folder and help.
- A tidier My games header: how many games you have and how many have updates, when PadMint last looked at your devices, and a ↻ button to look again.
- Apps without version information, such as Caesar III and Diablo, now say ✓ Installed in My games.

PadMint 0.5.9
PadMint 0.5.9: tidier lists, faster search
Download
What's new
- Fold sections in My games. Click Updates available or On the latest version to fold it; PadMint remembers.
- One refresh button shows when PadMint last looked at your devices; click it to look again.
- Search by just typing. Start typing anywhere (or press / or ⌘F/Ctrl+F) and PadMint jumps to the library's search. Every word has to match the game, port or system, and accents don't matter: "pokemon n64" finds both Pokémon games.
- One line per device. A device with two copies of a game shows the newest one and says "2 copies on this device".
- Better wording in Spanish and Portuguese, and on the Android phone route.

PadMint 0.5.8
PadMint 0.5.8: see what you have, and what this computer can do
Download
What's new
- The game library says what this computer can do. On a Mac it says how many games build there, how many are ready-made apps, and which iPhones and iPads PadMint sees. On Windows and Linux it says what builds there and that the other games are built on a Mac with Apple Silicon.
- Every game says where you have it: On iPad · iPhone, an update such as v0.2.0 → v0.2.2, or Not installed. A new Not installed filter shows what you don't have yet.
- Windows and Linux: games built on a Mac are grouped under Needs a Mac, where they used to be under "Not available yet", without repeating the same sentence on every row.
- A game's button says Update to v… when you already have an older copy.
- The README explains what each computer can do, including the 12 games with Mac versions, and shows the current app.
Updating
On a Mac or Linux, PadMint 0.5.5 and newer offer this update from the version button at the bottom of the sidebar. On Windows, close PadMint's window, download the ZIP again, extract it and open the launcher in the new folder. Your game files, builds and saves stay where they are.
PadMint 0.5.7
PadMint 0.5.7: a clearer first launch
Download
What's new
- First launch opens on the game library. When PadMint finds no games on this computer or your devices, it opens on every game it can build or download, with a short welcome. Once you have games, it opens on My games, which now waits for your devices instead of guessing too early.
- Removing PadMint is explained on the Storage page: what PadMint keeps where, and how to delete it. Games on your devices and their saves stay.
- An empty PadMint folder shows "0 KB" instead of "0".
Updating
On a Mac or Linux, PadMint 0.5.5 and newer offer this update from the version button at the bottom of the sidebar. On Windows, close PadMint's window, download the ZIP again, extract it and open the launcher in the new folder. Your game files, builds and saves stay where they are.
PadMint 0.5.6
PadMint 0.5.6: tighter game lists
Download
What's new
- More games on screen. In My games, Updates and each device's page, a game now takes two lines: its name, then every device it's on with the version there. Versions that are behind show in amber. About twice as many games fit on screen.
- The game library is tighter too, two lines per game. Games with a newer release say Update.
- The welcome banner only shows until you have your first game. About PadMint in the sidebar still explains how it works.
Updating
On Mac and Linux, PadMint 0.5.5 offers this update from its version button. Otherwise, close the running PadMint window, download and extract the new ZIP, and open the launcher in the new folder. Your game files, builds and saves stay where they are.
PadMint 0.5.5
PadMint 0.5.5: your games, on every device, and more of them on Mac
PadMint now opens like a launcher. It shows which games are on your iPhone, iPad and Mac, which ones have an update, and five more games to build. Several games can now be built for your Mac as well.
Download
What's new
- A sidebar with your games. My games lists every Pad game PadMint can find on your iPhone and iPad (paired with this Mac, read with Xcode), in your Applications folder, and the copies it built. Each game shows its version on each device and whether a newer release is out. Updates collects the ones that are behind; each device has its own page. An iPhone or iPad that isn't connected keeps what PadMint saw last time.
- Five new games to build: F-Zero X (F0X), Metroid Prime (EctoPad), Pokémon Snap (SnapPad), RollerCoaster Tycoon 2 on iPad (OpenRCT2 Touch) and Unreal Tournament (UTP). RAtouch is listed as a download. Nothing is listed as "not available yet" any more.
- More games for This Mac: F-Zero X, Metroid Prime, Pokémon Snap, Animal Crossing, Pokémon Stadium, Super Mario Sunshine, Super Smash Bros. Melee and the N64 Super Smash Bros. Choose the game, then This Mac. PadMint saves a zip with the app; move it to Applications.
- Storage shows what PadMint keeps in its folder and frees what it no longer needs. After a newer version of a game builds, PadMint also empties the build files older versions left behind and says how much space it freed.
- PadMint updates itself on Mac and Linux: when a newer release is out, the version button offers to install it and restart.
- Clearer game pages: a Your copies panel, no step numbers, and one quiet status per game in the library.
Updating
Close the running PadMint window, download and extract the new ZIP, then open the launcher in the new folder. Keep your game files, builds, caches and saves; they do not need deleting. From this version on, PadMint on Mac and Linux can install the next update itself.
PadMint 0.5.4: KartPad Mac needs 12 GB, not 60 GB
PadMint 0.5.4: KartPad Mac needs 12 GB, not 60 GB
PadMint 0.5.3 asked for about 60 GB free before building KartPad for Mac and refused to start with less (KartPad #489). That number was wrong. A first Mac build of KartPad 0.8.3 from an empty PadMint folder peaks at about 9.3 GB, so PadMint now asks for about 12 GB.

Changes
- KartPad's Mac plan, free-space check and
doctoruse a measured 12 GB budget instead of 60 GB. - iPhone/iPad and Android copies keep their 16 GB budget.
Updating
Close the running PadMint window, download and extract the new ZIP, then open the launcher in the new folder. The old folder keeps the old PadMint version. Keep your game files, builds, caches and saves; they do not need deleting.
