Open Time Tracker v1.4.0
Open Time Tracker v1.4.0
This release adds a visual weekly calendar for retrospective time entry.
New
- Added an expandable week calendar beside the main tracker.
- Monday-Sunday layout with real dates for the selected week.
- Full 24-hour view for every day, from 00:00 to 24:00.
- Existing time logs are displayed as blocks at their recorded times.
- Overnight sessions are shown across the relevant day boundaries.
- Added previous-week, next-week and Today navigation.
- Drag over an empty time period to create a retrospective entry.
- Calendar selections snap to 15-minute intervals.
- After dragging, choose or type the activity and save directly to
time_log.csv.
Why this matters
The calendar makes unlogged periods much easier to see and fill retrospectively, while keeping the existing CSV data model unchanged.
Existing features retained
- Start/stop live time tracking.
- Backdated manual entries.
- Activity management and retrospective renaming.
- Date-filtered summaries.
- Automatic CSV backups before historical activity renaming.
- Direct access to the local data folder.
- Native Apple Silicon macOS and Windows x64 packaged builds.
Notes
The calendar uses the same underlying time_log.csv as all other entry methods, so existing logs and newly created calendar entries stay fully compatible with summaries and activity management.
