Data Center: Physical place containing servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling.
Region: Geographical location containing cloud infrastructure.
AD (Availability Domain): Separate infrastructure/data-center location within a region.
FD (Fault Domain): Group of hardware within an AD, used to reduce impact of hardware failures.
Tenancy: A customer/organization's isolated use of cloud resources.
Multi-Tenancy: Multiple customers share cloud infrastructure while their resources/data remain isolated.
Hierarchy:
Region → AD → FD → Servers/Resources
Easy way to remember
Region → AD → FD → Compute/VM
Think of it like:
Region = City
AD = Separate buildings
FD = Separate sections inside a building
VM = Your computer/server
