Lab 03 ‐ Create Policy
When creating policies, remember that policies are inherited from parent compartments to their child compartments, but not in the reverse direction. For example:
If you grant the Inspect policy to Compartment A, its child compartments A1 and A2 will automatically inherit the policy.
If you grant the Inspect policy to A1 or A2, the parent Compartment A will not inherit the policy.
Navigate to Policies Navigation menu > Identity & Security > Policies
Compartment level Providing the inspect policy to the network_group for the hub_compartment Provide Name and Description and select hub_compartment from Compartment list
First, I removed the inspect policy for the network_group because read is higher in the hierarchy, so it includes both inspect and read policies.

Provide Name and Description and select hub_compute_and_storage_compartment from Compartment list
First, I removed the use policy for the network_group because manage is highest in the hierarchy, so it includes all inspect, read, and use policies.
Provide Name and Description and select hub_compute_and__storage_compartment from Compartment list
