The acquire.yml playbook

The acquire.yml playbook will create the files directory and pull files from URLs set in each loop:.

Update the loop values first, if needed. The ansible.builtin.get_url module will not download a file that hasn't changed, but commenting out items you do not need updated will speed up the run.

This playbook runs on localhost and doesn't need an inventory file. However, not providing one will display the [WARNING]: No inventory was parsed, only implicit localhost is available message. In order to avoid this warning, go ahead and provide an inventory file with the -i command line option. Any of the Inventory directories can be used.

Commands

Run the playbook using any one of the Inventory directories.

ansible-playbook -i basic/local_aliases.yml acquire.yml

ansible-playbook -i lab/local_aliases.yml acquire.yml

ansible-playbook -i lab-minimal/local_aliases.yml acquire.yml
