Welcome to the MaplatEditor Wiki. This is the long-form reading area for the MaplatEditor desktop application — tutorials, concept articles, FAQ, and gallery live here.

MaplatEditor is the desktop data-authoring tool for the Maplat historical map viewer. It provides a GUI for registering maps, setting ground control points, generating tiles, and assembling the app data consumed by the Maplat viewer libraries (@maplat/ui / @maplat/core).

For the latest download links, version info, badges, and license, please see the README first. This Wiki holds the release-independent material that grows between releases (ADR-0012).

MaplatEditor is a UI application, not a library. There is no API-Reference page. For the API of the libraries MaplatEditor produces data for, see the MaplatCore Wiki and MaplatTin Wiki.
