Download Instructions

  1. Click the Download button below to get the RooMate.dmg file.
  2. Once the download is complete, double-click the .dmg to open it.
  3. You’ll see a window with RooMate.app and the Applications folder.
  4. Drag RooMate.app into the Applications folder to install it.

If macOS shows a warning such as:

  • “Unidentified Developer”
  • “macOS could not verify the developer”
  • “App cannot be opened”

Option 1: If the “Open Anyway” button is visible

  • Click Open Anyway.

Option 2: If there is no “Open Anyway” button

  1. Click Done to close the warning.
  2. Open the Apple menu → Settings → Privacy & Security.
  3. Scroll to the bottom and click Open Anyway for RooMate.

RooMate should now open. You can also pin it to the Dock for quick access.

Known Issues

  • Canvas API key sometimes returns “Canvas returned 401.”
    Workaround: Show the key to the user and ensure there are no extra spaces.
  • Overall grades are not fetching correctly.
  • Notifications are still not available.
