Fixed — Shizuku mode now enables in the release build
The Shizuku fix from 1.2.1 was present in the code but did not actually work once installed as a release APK. Root cause: on Android 12+, showing the Shizuku permission dialog moves the app to the background, and the app then tried to start its foreground service from that background state. Android silently refuses that start, so even after tapping Allow the mode stayed off. (The debug build only appeared to work because Shizuku permission was already granted on the dev device, so the dialog never appeared.)
- The Shizuku service is now started before the permission dialog is shown, while the app is still in the foreground, and waits for the grant before applying rules.
- If the start is still refused, it is automatically retried when the app returns to the foreground.
- The permission flow polls Shizuku directly, so forks (e.g. Shevery) that never deliver the result callback still work.
- Added the missing R8/ProGuard keeps for the Shizuku/Sui classes and Parcelable creators (a classic "works in debug, breaks in release" cause).
- A refused foreground-service start can no longer crash the app.
If Shizuku mode still does not turn on after this update, try tapping the toggle once more after granting permission, and share the in-app logs so we can dig further.
