Orglet 0.5.0 for Windows.

If you run 0.2.4 or later from Setup, this update arrives by itself and is used the next time you start Orglet.

MCP servers

Add MCP servers in Settings → MCP, either a command that runs on your computer or an https address, then pick which ones each orglet may use in its Permissions tab. That is how an orglet reaches GitHub, Linear, Notion, Slack or anything else with an MCP server.

Every tool call asks first: allow it once, always for that tool, or always for that server in this chat. Tokens and secret values are encrypted on your computer and never shown again. Orglet does not read the MCP settings of other apps; you add servers yourself, or import a file you choose. How it works: mcp.md.

More ways to run an orglet

• Any OpenAI-compatible server. Settings → API connections → Add connection takes a name, an address and an optional key: LM Studio, Groq, DeepSeek, Mistral, a company proxy. A server on your own computer or network counts as free. For a hosted one you can enter its price per million tokens so costs add up.
• Gemini CLI. Orglets can run on the Google account you already use with the gemini command, next to Claude Code, Codex and Cursor Agent. Like the others, it gets no tools of its own; files, commands and web reads go through Orglet's permissions.
• Bigger crews. A crew can now have up to 8 orglets, and you can run up to 8 requests at a time per connection.

Several things at once

• Side threads. In an orglet's chat, press Ctrl+Shift+Enter (or pick Send in a new thread) and that message runs in its own thread while the main chat stays free. The thread reads the last few turns of the main chat and uses the same permissions, never more. When it finishes, Bring into main chat copies the answer back as a quote.
• Running. A new Running button in the sidebar lists every turn that is running, queued or waiting for you, across all chats. It shows who is ahead in each queue and what each run costs so far. You can stop, pause or open any of them from there.
• Schedules that react. A schedule can now start when a new file lands in a folder you choose, with that file attached, or only when you call it with orglet run "<schedule>". Timed schedules work as before.

From outside Orglet

• Send to. Select files in File Explorer, right-click, Send to → Orglet (on Windows 11 it is under Show more options), and pick an orglet, crew or recent chat. The files wait in the message box until you press Send.
• Links. orglet://chat/Researcher opens a chat and orglet://new?to=Researcher&text=hello fills in a message without sending it.

Both are set up when Setup installs or updates Orglet and removed when you uninstall it. Settings → About can turn Send to off.

Smaller fixes

• Faces in the sidebar sit centred on their names.
• The Permissions list in an orglet's settings has room between rows, and the auto-apply switch now sits with the others.
• A chat started from the terminal opens in the window when you are looking at that orglet's empty chat.
• A few error messages that stayed in Vietnamese in the English interface are now translated.
• Tables in answers have a shaded header and striped rows, and their columns line up.
• Long names in the sidebar are no longer cut short by a hidden menu button.
• Escape closes a dialog again when focus is on a disclosure button.
• API connections that are switched off stay readable, and their switch no longer looks disabled.
• Settings descriptions fit on one line, small text meets contrast, and "1 replies" reads "1 reply".

Before you install

The installer is still not signed. Windows may say it protected your PC. If you downloaded Setup from this page, choose More info → Run anyway.

Orglet is open source under AGPL-3.0. This release ships for Windows only. Release checklist: windows-release-gates.md.
