| Role | Author |

| Fork, rework and maintenance | Stalking Dragons |
Carry Mechanics is not affiliated with, nor endorsed by, the Carry On authors.
This is a modified derivative, not a drop-in copy. Gameplay dynamics differ in:
- crouch-to-pick-up behaviour
- block and entity grab rules
- carry conditions
- rendering
It has also been ported and reworked across five Minecraft versions on three loaders — 1.20.1 through 26.2, on Forge, NeoForge and Fabric.
The project README originally described this mod as "inspired by Carry On, rewritten from scratch"
while its own LICENSE described it as a derivative work retaining the original copyright. Those two
positions are not compatible, and the ambiguity is the kind that causes trouble for a fork.
The README now says what the LICENSE says: a modified fork, with the original copyright retained and
the corresponding source published.
