Applies to Mystical Realms Translation & Fixes 1.0.1 for Minecraft 1.21.1.
| Minecraft | 1.21.1 exactly (pack format 34) |
| Loader | any — NeoForge, Fabric, Vanilla |
| Required mods | none |
The pack has no dependencies and no hard requirements. It does not need the mods it
translates to be installed — an unused lang file is ignored by the loader.
It is loader-agnostic precisely because a resource pack is assets only. Nothing it contains is tied to a mod loader.
Pack format 34 is 1.21.1 only. The pack will not load on another version, and there is no separate build per version. The mod set of a modpack changes substantially between versions, so translations for one version's mods are meaningless on another.
Minecraft merges lang files across all loaded packs rather than overwriting them, so this
pack supplies only missing keys and never replaces a mod's own translations. Both can be
present at once. See Translations.
Load order decides which override wins. Overlapping fixes for the same file are worth avoiding, though in practice only this pack touches these four.
They are complementary halves of one feature. The mod patches Better Villager Animations to read a Spanish dialogue table from a resource pack at runtime; this pack is what supplies that table.
| Table supplied here | Overlay works | |
|---|---|---|
| Mod installed, this pack installed | yes | yes |
| Mod installed, this pack absent | no | no — silently |
| Mod absent, this pack installed | unused | n/a |
| Neither | no | no |
The failure mode is worth knowing: with the mod installed but no table present, the overlay does nothing and logs nothing. There is no warning. If you install the mod expecting Spanish villager dialogue, install this pack too, or the feature will appear to be broken.
The mod requires the client language to be exactly es_es for this to apply.
-
It will not translate a mod with no English text. Translation starts from the mod's own
en_us.json; if a mod has no English strings, there is nothing to translate. - It will not translate hardcoded Java strings. That is what the Better Villager Animations patch above is for — no resource pack can reach text inside a mod's code.
- It adds no gameplay content. No items, blocks, recipes, advancements or sounds.
- It adds no items or blocks of its own, and appears in no tab. It is invisible until some text is Spanish or an error stops appearing.
- It does not fix upstream. The four fixes are local overrides. A future version of the mod may fix them properly, at which point the override is dropped.
Translations track the wording of each mod's current English. When a mod rewords a string, the
key changes and the pack's Spanish for it becomes stale until re-translated. There are 93
namespaces and roughly 14.8k keys, so occasional drift is expected between releases; the
per-release list is in CHANGELOG.md.
Negligible. It is a set of static JSON files loaded once at startup, and 188 guidebook entries are only parsed when a book is actually opened. The translations add no per-frame cost and no memory overhead beyond the text itself.
Written against a specific modpack instance and validated there. It is usable anywhere, but that is where it was tested.
