The Two Bridges

Applies to Storage Bridge (Sophisticated Storage) 0.0.0-beta.1 for Minecraft 1.21.1 (NeoForge).

Two integrations, both triggered by right-clicking a Sophisticated Storage Controller — main hand, not sneaking, any face.

Why two, when the siblings have three

Its two siblings — Storage Drawers and Functional Storage — each have three bridges, including one into a Sophisticated Storage chest or barrel.

This one has no Sophisticated Storage bridge, and that is deliberate. The controller it hooks is Sophisticated Storage, and depositing into a Sophisticated Storage chest is what Sophisticated Storage already does on that same click. A third bridge would duplicate the host mod's own behaviour.

1. Apothic-Enchanting Library

Targets: the Enchantment Library (apothic_enchanting:library) and the Library of Alexandria (apothic_enchanting:ender_library).

Moves: every stack of minecraft:enchanted_book in the player's inventory.

One-directional. The Library consumes every book it accepts and cannot return them. That is what a Library does, not a limitation of the bridge.

Be clear about this before you do it: the gesture empties enchanted books from your inventory into something you cannot retrieve them from.

2. Apotheosis Gem Case

Targets: the Gem Case and the Ender Gem Case.

Moves: unsocketed gem stacks.

The destination validates. The Gem Case's own capability rejects anything that is not a valid gem, so the mod does not have to guess — and the rules stay correct even if Apotheosis changes what counts as a gem.

Socketed gems are not loose items and are not moved.

Routing order

The order matters and is not arbitrary:

1. Books and gems are routed first to a reachable Library or Gem Case.
2. Then Sophisticated Storage's own deposit runs.

So after one right-click you may find enchanted books in a Library, gems in a Gem Case, and the rest of your inventory deposited into the controller's storages — all from a single click.

This is the practical difference from the siblings: they also run the host mod's insertion, but here the host mod is Sophisticated Storage, so the two effects interleave visibly.

Which destination wins

The controller's connected and linked blocks are searched, and the mod deposits into one eligible container — not spread across all of them. With both a Library and a Gem Case in range, only one is used.
