Getting Started
Applies to Utility Nexus Admin 1.2.0 for Minecraft 1.21.1 (NeoForge).
| Minecraft | 1.21.1 |
| NeoForge | 21.1.249 |
| Java | 21 |
| Required mods | none |
Drop the JAR in mods/ on the server. Clients do not need it for the administration features.
There is one exception: the alphabetical creative tabs are client-side, so players need the mod on their client to benefit from that. Installing it everywhere is fine — the admin features simply do nothing on a client.
Every feature is off-by-default-free: datapack loading and creative tabs are on, pregeneration is configured but does not start on its own. You start it when you want it.
Config:
config/utility_nexus/admin/config.toml
The /una command tree requires a vanilla OP permission level:
| Default | 2 |
| Range | 0 – 4 |
Setting it to 0 would make the administration commands available to every player, which on a
public server means letting anyone load and unload datapacks. Leave it at 2 unless you have a reason.
The level is applied when the command tree is built — at server start, or after a datapack reload. So changing it in the config requires a restart (or a datapack reload) to take effect.
Each is independent:
| Tool | Side | Default |
|---|---|---|
| Global datapack loading | both | on |
| Chunk pregeneration | server | configured, idle |
| Alphabetical creative tabs | client | on |
Any of them can be turned off without affecting the others.
- Drop a datapack —
.zipor a folder — into<gameDir>/datapacks/. - It is injected into every world. Nothing to copy, nothing to enable per world.
If it does not appear, datapack.validateOnLoad skipped it — the log says why. See
Datapack Loading.
/una pregen radius 5000
/una pregen dimension minecraft:overworld
/una pregen start
It runs in budgeted bursts and rests between them, so the server stays playable while it works. See Chunk Pregeneration before setting it to a large radius.
Remove the JAR. Nothing is added to the world — no blocks, items or recipes — and pregeneration generates ordinary chunks, so there is no mod-specific data to clean up.
The datapacks you have in <gameDir>/datapacks/ are ordinary Minecraft datapacks and stay valid
afterwards.
