Is Pub-Xel on Mac?

Not yet. Windows only for now.

Why doesn’t closing the window quit Pub-Xel?

It usually goes to the system tray (near the clock). Right-click the Pub-Xel icon → Exit to quit. You can turn this off in Preferences → Other.

Excel actions don’t work

• Open Excel and your worksheet first.
• Select the PMID cells you want.
• Wait until Pub-Xel finishes — don’t click in Excel during import.

Check if Files Exist — nothing turned blue

• Save PDFs in Main library as PMID.pdf (e.g., 33301246.pdf).
• Check the folder path in Preferences → Library.

Hotkey does nothing

Save Preferences, restart Pub-Xel, and make sure it’s still running (tray icon). Did you copy IDs first (Ctrl+C)?

“Clipboard is empty”

Copy PMID numbers or PubMed links as text (Ctrl+C), not a screenshot.
