Squadra 3+ 3.8.0

Choose a tag to compare

@dagoSte dagoSte released this 13 Oct 17:59

Squadra 3+ 3.8.0: fixes that prove themselves, a Sentry preview, and a friendlier Reads view.

What changes

  • Defect fixes must show the test failed without them. Declare a fix with task --defect-fix. Before it can close, challenge --task runs the agreed unittest methods on the registered base and on the exact delivered candidate: they must fail by assertion on the base and pass on the candidate. Errors, skips, missing tests or a test that passes on both never qualify. The result appears next to the proof. A coordinator may declare an exception with a reason, which the independent reader checks; it never shows as a passed challenge. Replacing a fix task requires the replacement to be a fix too.
  • Sentry plugin, preview. The optional plugin brings sanitised summaries of errors from your authorised Sentry connection into Squadra, so you can select issues for analysis and follow their tasks. FREE · Sponsored by memoranda: development funded by memoranda, free for all users. Tested with a synthetic connection only; a live Sentry connection is not yet verified.
  • Reads view. The per-task table keeps its horizontal scroll across refreshes, becomes readable cards on phones, and the blank band under the intro is gone.
  • Plugin pages. Steps that carry their own numbers show one marker, not a bullet and a number.
  • Plugin versions: memoranda 1.0.2 and Playwright 1.0.3 (their bundled registry reader follows this release); Sentry 0.1.0.

Compatibility

Existing tasks keep working. A squad already at work keeps its version until every writer is upgraded: older CLIs ignore the new fix metadata, so mixed-version enforcement is not promised.

Updating from 3.7.1

Claude Code: /plugin marketplace update squadra, then /plugin update squadra@squadra, then restart Claude Code.
Codex: codex plugin marketplace upgrade, then codex plugin add squadra@squadra again.
Standalone installer: git pull, then run scripts/install.py again with a new backup folder.
If you installed memoranda or Playwright from the Store, stop their producer and consumer, then run squadra plugin install <name> again; settings, keys and data are kept.

Squadra 3+ 3.7.1: a security fix for the memoranda plugin.

What changes

  • Private output paths, enforced. If you point the memoranda plugin at an output folder of your own (--out-root), it must belong to you, be writable only by you and not be reached through a link you control; the delivery ledger and its lock must be private files. Otherwise the plugin refuses before sending anything. In 3.7.0 a shared folder could let another account on the same computer replace the ledger and make the plugin propose the same item twice. The default data folder was already private.
  • No dynamic code loading. The plugin no longer offers an external registry reader (--squadra-scripts). It checks the bundled reader against its pin and imports it normally, so the public security scan reports no high or critical finding.
  • An honest ledger error. If the local ledger cannot be saved after a request, the plugin now says delivery may be uncertain and points to the recovery steps, instead of «nothing sent». An uncertain item is still never resent on its own.
  • Plugin versions: memoranda 1.0.1, Playwright 1.0.2 (their bundled registry reader follows this release).

Updating from 3.7.0

Claude Code: /plugin marketplace update squadra, then /plugin update squadra@squadra, then restart Claude Code.
Codex: codex plugin marketplace upgrade, then codex plugin add squadra@squadra again.
Standalone installer: git pull, then run scripts/install.py again with a new backup folder.
If you installed the memoranda plugin from the Store, stop its producer and consumer, then run squadra plugin install memoranda again; settings, key and ledger are kept.

Squadra 3+ 3.7.0: the value of independent reads in numbers, a light route for small changes, and memoranda in the Store.

What changes

  • Reads in the dashboard: recorded plan and code verdicts, in total and by task, and the new versions submitted after a request for changes. Readers can add short observations with review --findings-file (grave, minor, info). These are counts of reads, not of prevented defects.
  • The light route for small, reversible changes: task --route light, at most 80 changed lines in four files outside protected paths (policy light-v1 / P2). It skips the plan read and the whole suite but keeps the independent reader, the agreed proof and every binding. route --full promotes a task without resetting its history or budgets.
  • The memoranda plugin in the Store: it collects what your agents declared worth remembering and proposes it to your memoranda.dev space for your review. It never approves anything. The plugin is free and MIT; the memoranda.dev service starts with a free trial, then is paid. It sends nothing until you set your own key (privacy notice).
  • The Playwright plugin moves to 1.0.1: its bundled registry reader follows this release.
  • The README shows the Cisco security scan badge and the new Reads view.

Updating from 3.6.1

From this release on, history is kept: each release is added on top of the previous one.

Claude Code: /plugin marketplace update squadra, then /plugin update squadra@squadra, then restart Claude Code.
Codex: codex plugin marketplace upgrade, then codex plugin add squadra@squadra again.
Standalone installer: from a 3.6.1 checkout, git pull works. A checkout older than 3.6.1 needs git fetch origin and git reset --hard origin/main, which discards local edits in that checkout. Then run scripts/install.py again with a new backup folder.

A squad already at work keeps its version until every writer is upgraded explicitly; light tasks need every writer on 3.7.0.

Squadra 3+ 3.6.1: small fixes and clearer state in the dashboard.

What changes

  • The dashboard's top band stays still during the two-second refresh: no more «Updating…» flicker, and the clock digits keep the same width.
  • Plugin items show their state in colour, always with the word. Items in a pending request say «Waiting to be sent» and cannot be selected or sent again until the request is used or cancelled. Sent, approved and rejected items are grouped below under «Already sent».
  • The README gains a «Sponsors, supporters and contributors» section and a «Get involved» call.
  • A public privacy notice, in English (PRIVACY.md) and Italian (PRIVACY.it.md).

Updating from 3.6.0

Each release is published as a single commit that replaces the repository history.

Claude Code: /plugin marketplace update squadra, then /plugin update squadra@squadra, then restart Claude Code.
Codex: codex plugin marketplace upgrade, then codex plugin add squadra@squadra again.
Standalone installer: git pull cannot update the checkout. Run git fetch origin and git reset --hard origin/main, which discards local edits in that checkout, then run scripts/install.py again with a new backup folder. If the installer refuses an unclean checkout, git status shows the untracked files that the reset keeps.

Squadra 3+ — the most complete team skill for Claude Code, Codex and Cursor. Free and open source (MIT), and it runs entirely on your machine.

Squadra coordinates several agent windows as one team. Every task is acknowledged before work starts, every proof is bound to the code that was delivered, and another window reviews the work before it closes. The local dashboard shows it all.

Updating from 3.5.1

Claude Code: /plugin marketplace update squadra, then /plugin update squadra@squadra, then restart Claude Code.
Codex: codex plugin marketplace upgrade, then codex plugin add squadra@squadra again.
Standalone installer: git pull in your checkout, then run scripts/install.py again with a new backup folder.

In this release

  • A faster dashboard: a lighter recurring state, details loaded when you open them, and a loading indicator when the page opens or refreshes.
  • A plugin Store inside each release. The Store page, under Plugins, lists the plugins bundled with the running release, MCP-based plugins first; the first one is Playwright, for browser checks. The coordinator installs one with squadra plugin install <name>.
  • Proposing a plugin: section 9 of the plugin authoring guide explains how to submit one by pull request or by email for analysis.
  • Updating explained in the README, for /plugin, Codex and the standalone installer.
  • Plugin folders that another user of the computer can write to are refused.
