What's New

ScreenPrompt has been fully rewritten from Python/tkinter to Tauri 2 (Rust + React/TypeScript). Same features, better performance, smaller footprint.

Highlights

  • Tauri 2 backend — native Rust with WebView2, replaces Python/tkinter
  • Keyboard layout support — auto-detects Hungarian (QWERTZ) or English (QWERTY), configurable in Settings
  • Click-through fix — lock mode now fully blocks all mouse input (including WebView2 layer)
  • Placeholder bug fix — reset no longer turns placeholder into permanent text
  • UI polish — default cursor everywhere, close/settings buttons flush with window edge

Upgrading

Download and run the installer — it will replace the previous Python-based version. Your settings will start fresh with the new config system.

The auto-updater in v1.0.x will detect this release and prompt to install.
