Add my own ssh keys

Hey,
I recently noticed that vaultwarden has a way to save ssh keys.
But then I noticed that I only "generate and save" keys and not just add them.

Is there a way to add this feature that I can add my already existing ssh keys to it?

I don't have this button in my browser but in the extension and my Apps

This button is also hide in my web interface and only show in web browser plugin. You can try use chrome plugin and will have this button.

It would be really ideal to get this feature in the web browser. I use my phone mostly and cannot get the extension on my phone.

That's a problem for the team that develops the Chrome extension. Nothing to do with Vaultwarden.

Understand. So, that means that Vaultwarden can't add that feature into the web application then?

Vaultwarden project has no involvement with official bitwarden clients.

Our patch set for the modified web-vault that is shipped with the container image is mosly concerned with rebranding and liberating the project (i.e. making it look like and work with Vaultwarden). There only a handful of improvements like including our custom CSS file and specific changes to make it compatible with SSO. But yeah, adding a feature like that is out of scope and not something we would be able to maintain.

I still don't see the copy from clipboard button anywhere. I've tried copying the private key in plain text, copying the entire file (right-click > "Copy").... it never shows in any of the clients. How exactly can I do this? Is it because the key has a secret?

I don't see it in Bitwarden Desktop client for linux either.

Would it be a limitation of using the Btiwarden client with self-hosted?

@castlerockconsult no, as stated above #6280 (reply in thread) it's a (known) bug in the clients

Does it can be used to save generic private/public keypair (generated from openssl for example) ?

As long as it's either in OpenSSH or PKCS#8 format it should be possible to import it.
