Private equity firm bug #7376
Prerequisites
Vaultwarden Support StringPrivate equity firms are a bug in the system. As I understand it, BitWarden has been purchased by such a firm. It is widely known that this tends to lead to enshittification. Inform me of grassroots team efforts to counteract this. I'll write some code if needed. I have 40+ years of dev knowledge waiting for a important cause to apply it to. Apologies for using the wrong channel. I find that computer programmers are rather flexible in this regard, if given the right reason to do so. Not sure what you are trying to tell here. But Vaultwarden needs Bitwarden, and the Open Source part of Bitwarden to work. Besides that, Vaultwarden is not associated with Bitwarden, does not receive funds from them or any other private equity (as far as I know). Vaultwarden exists solely on the existent of Bitwarden Open Source. |

Never mind. This was an overreaction. It was Friday night and some wine was involved... |

Vaultwarden has no resources in anyway to fork Bitwarden and all there repo's and maintain everything if that is what you are suggesting.
