Agents report to the notch: notch run, live Claude Code activity and an MCP server

  • notch command: notch run <cmd> shows a ring beside the notch and a Banner with the exit code when it ends (click it to go back to that terminal). Also notch banner, progress, shelf and ask. Install it from Settings › Agents.
  • Live activity from Claude Code (Settings › Agents): read-only hooks show what each session is doing and its subagents, and a Banner says what it edited when a turn ends. They never answer anything for you.
  • MCP server (notch mcp): agents can show progress and Banners, put files on the Shelf, and ask you quick choices. Permission questions stay in the terminal.
  • Search can use Claude Code or Codex with your own plan.
  • Tips that show up when they'd help, and a What's new note after each update.
