Please change the startup window so that it's not set as topmost

This behavior is something that LR does and it annoyed me from day 1. The startup screen doesn't need to be kept on top of all other application windows. Nobody needs to be forced to watch DT scan their XMPs for changes. As it is, the user can't do anything in any other app until DT fully loads unless they're running multi-monitor

Please please change this to a normal dialog/window.

@jenshannoschwalm @jade-nl this might be a duplicate but I can't find the commits that should fix the issue. The latest build still has the problem that the splash screen is set to topmost and won't allow any other apps over it.

I would prefer that my work not have to come to a halt just because I've chosen to run DT

@jenshannoschwalm I don't have the ability to pull and build from master, so no, I haven't tested from the master branch.

As I mentioned, it's still happening in the latest (5.0.1) release.

The commits mentioned don't sound like they do anything to change the topmost behavior. #18236 is a case where the main window covers the splash screen. The behavior I'd like changed is where the splash screen is on top of all other windows on the display, while it's scanning files, etc.

I checked this again and can not reproduce any longer on master, also we included the fixing code.

Closing this for now, feel free to re-open if you still have issues with current master (you might try current app images)

I wasn't aware that nightly builds were available and installed the latest. Topmost behavior is gone. Thank you.
