Repository navigation
BitChord v1.10.2 makes the desktop app usable from the keyboard alone, and fixes keys not reaching the window after switching workspaces on Wayland.
- Keyboard navigation: Ctrl+1 to 8 opens the sidebar pages in order (Home, Explore, Library, Spotify when enabled, Search, History, Downloads, Local Music); Ctrl+9 opens Settings.
- Click anything by keyboard: tap Ctrl on its own to label every clickable item on screen (albums, songs, buttons, menus), then type a label to click it. Backspace takes a letter back; Esc, a click or another Ctrl tap closes the labels. The sidebar shows each page's Ctrl digit while the labels are up.
- J and K scroll the page, D and U by half a page. Shift+H and Shift+L go back and forward through visited pages, and the mouse's forward button now works.
- Under niri and other compositors using xwayland-satellite, Space and the other shortcuts now work right after switching back to the window, without a click first.
- The keyboard shortcuts sheet (?) lists the new keys.
- Android version code increases to 30. Windows installers use package version 1.10.32.
Downloads:
- Linux: AppImage, DEB, and RPM.
- Windows: EXE installer, MSI, and portable ZIP with a bundled Java runtime.
- Android: signed universal
BitChord-android-dev.apk.
On NixOS, run the AppImage through appimage-run.
