2026-09-11 02:25 KST — A new look for How I AI

Claire Vo’s office sign gets a playful purple redesign

  • The framed wall sign now features a vivid purple background, a cream title card reading “How I AI” and “by Claire Vo,” and colorful code, waveform, chat, cursor, and chart illustrations.
  • The artwork stays crisp and available offline in its existing wood frame beside the Research Library.
  • Verification: all 501 automated tests, the production build, whitespace checks, and an isolated Electron scene preview pass. The manager approved the scene appearance; signed macOS packaging and publication run through the release workflow.

2026-09-08 12:07 EDT — Friends chat sends recover from weak Blob validators

Existing apps can send again through a server-only Vercel hotfix

  • Message writes now convert Vercel Blob’s weak read validator into the strong ETag required for safe conditional updates.
  • The fix preserves optimistic concurrency, existing profiles, room history, presence, and the 100-character limit without requiring an AgentSim update.
  • Verification: production diagnostics reproduced the weak-versus-strong ETag mismatch without changing room contents, a cleaned-up production smoke test received HTTP 201 for a message that immediately appeared in the shared room, all 496 automated tests pass, and the production web build succeeds.

2026-09-08 11:52 EDT — A New York skyline for your agents

Distinctive buildings and warm working lights bring the Campus to life

  • Offices now use five stable architectural styles inspired by SoHo lofts, brownstones, brick warehouses, Art Deco towers, and limestone buildings, with detailed windows, cornices, and individual rooflines.
  • Windows glow warmly while agents are working, including offices where another agent needs attention. Lights turn off when work stops or the office is missing.
  • Campus actions share compact matching buttons, consistent icons, clear keyboard focus, and restrained press feedback that respects reduced motion.
  • The soft white navigation bar now reads “Agent Sims Research Preview.” The Software City pill, cloud-status badge, and Campus guide button have been removed.
  • Existing office navigation, selection, and attention signals are preserved.
  • Verification: all 496 automated tests, the production build, and whitespace checks pass. Building variants and control focus were visually checked in the browser; signed macOS packaging is validated by the release workflow.

2026-09-08 11:30 EDT — Manager and release workflows are presentation ready

Clearer decision surfaces make approvals, shipping, and live task control faster

  • The complete Manager Cubicle is now clickable, its label sits on the left, and its approval workspace uses a compact, legible light interface.
  • The Launch Operator and console desk now open a matching streamlined Launch Control workspace with denser release evidence and actions.
  • Ticket and Artifact are clear persistent tabs: tickets open on Ticket, selected artifacts no longer snap back during refreshes, and scroll position remains stable while Activity updates.
  • Ask Agent now steers active work or starts a follow-up in the task’s existing conversation when the agent is idle, while preserving drafts and focus during live updates.
  • Verification: all 493 automated tests, the production build, git diff --check, targeted desktop interaction previews, and the signed universal macOS release workflow pass.

2026-09-08 11:16 EDT — Live office metrics make token burn visible

A compact realtime card shows who is working and brings cumulative usage to life

  • Every office now shows active and idle agent counts alongside the cumulative tokens spent by its Codex task threads.
  • Counts update from the existing live agent stream as work starts, stops, and consumes more tokens; saved thread totals are restored from official usage data or Codex’s local numeric usage ledger without exposing prompts or reasoning.
  • Large totals spell out million and billion values, and a playful two-tone flame loops beside token spend with a static reduced-motion fallback.
  • The card stays aligned in the office’s upper-right corner with readable centered spacing and accessible live-region text.
  • Verification: service, projection, and UI contract coverage; the full 489-test suite; the production build; git diff --check; native Electron inspection; and a signed universal macOS package all pass.

2026-09-08 09:22 EDT — Office labels stay attached when sidebars open

Agent badges and station controls once again line up with the 3D office

  • Opening the Agents or Files sidebar no longer shifts HTML badges and name tags away from their characters and physical stations.
  • Label click targets now remain synchronized with the visible scene throughout sidebar transitions.
  • The Launch Operator label and the complete Launch Center model both open Launch Control directly; Manager Cubicle model interaction remains aligned with its visible label.
  • Verification: focused overlay, live-badge, and Launch Center tests, the full 440-test automated suite, the production build, git diff --check, and live desktop-sized visual inspection with the Agents sidebar open.

2026-09-08 02:14 EDT — Launch Control opens up its office-edge view

The operator and a doubled launch kit now read clearly from the default camera

  • Opaque cubicle walls no longer hide the Launch Operator; the open console, status monitors, and release lights remain visible.
  • The complete Launch Center annex moves another four feet left toward the middle of the office’s front edge, giving the operator and launch kit clear separation from the elevator while preserving the connected bridge and navigable release area.
  • The Launch Operator now matches the regular office avatars’ height, and its console desk matches the standard desks’ width, depth, and work-surface height.
  • The operator and its complete console assembly rotate 180 degrees around their shared center, including the monitors, controls, and station label.
  • The operator/desk assembly and rocket/launchpad move 30% farther outward from the office edge while the annex platform and bridge remain anchored.
  • The rocket and launch pad are both 100% larger and move inward together without changing their alignment, staging, or merge-only launch behavior.
  • Verification: all 400 automated tests after merging the latest origin/main, the production build, git diff --check, and live default-camera browser inspection pass.
