Using VaseMaker with PatternMaker

PatternMaker is a companion app that generates seamless tile patterns as SVG. Apply them as surface textures on your vases.

Workflow

  1. Design your pattern in PatternMaker
  2. Export SVG
  3. In VaseMaker → Textures section → enable SVG Pattern
  4. Click Load SVG or Paste SVG
  5. Adjust # Tiles Around and # Tiles Vert
  6. Set Depth for how deep the pattern cuts

Tips

  • High-contrast black/white patterns give the crispest relief
  • Grayscale SVGs produce multi-depth effects — darker = deeper groove
  • For cutout / lattice vases, enable the Cutout toggle
  • Use Smooth Zones to keep the base and rim solid even with cutout patterns

Recommended PatternMaker Patterns for Vases

Pattern Effect on Vase
Voronoi Organic cell texture, cracked-clay look
Truchet Flowing arc patterns, intricate lattice
Hexagon Grid Clean geometric grille, great for cutouts
Fractal Carpet Bold geometric lattice with recursive holes
Reaction-Diffusion Organic labyrinths, very natural-looking
Shapes Aligned Regular geometric cutout patterns
