Do I need a subscription or API key? No. Prices come from Yahoo Finance's free public endpoints.

Do I need a computer? Only to flash a blank board the first time. After that, everything is configured from your phone. If you received one already set up, you never need a computer.

Are the prices real-time? They're as fresh as Yahoo's public feed, which can be delayed (often ~15 min for some exchanges). Fine for a glanceable desk display, not for trading.

Can it show crypto / ETFs / indexes? Yes — anything with a Yahoo symbol: BTC-USD, ETH-USD, SPY, QQQ, etc.

Can it show non-US stocks? If Yahoo has a symbol for it (e.g. SHOP.TO, BP.L), it should work, but it's only been tested with US tickers.

How many tickers can I add? As many as you like; it rotates through them. The bottom page-dots show up to 8.

Does it work in pre-market / after-hours? Yes — it shows extended-hours prices and slows its polling when the market is fully closed.

Why is the screen dim? Power-saving auto-dim. Tap the BOOT button to wake it. Configure or disable in Settings.

Why did my C-to-C cable not power it? This board doesn't negotiate USB-C power delivery the way laptops expect. Use a USB-A → USB-C cable. See Hardware.

Can I change the boot title? Yes — title / subtitle / splash_secs in Settings. English/numbers only (bitmap font limitation).

Is touch supported? This project targets the non-touch board and uses the BOOT button. There's no auto-rotation (no motion sensor on this variant).

Can I sell/gift these? The code is MIT-licensed — do what you like. If you reuse the Amazon links, replace the affiliate tag with your own.
