Authors as tags. Designed in your builder. Version 1.3.0 adds author profiles without WordPress user accounts and a faster setup for multiple author attribution.

  • New: [pat-author-boxes], local author photos and websites, selectable link targets and public post-type settings.
  • New: Settings page with copyable shortcode recipes, deckerweb GitHub Release Updater V2 and shared Library 0.2.0.
  • Improved: All four readmes follow the Brand Admin Schemes structure and category prefixes; bilingual Wiki with 25 themed FAQ answers per language and full changelogs.
  • Improved: Selected author-tag artwork with English/German banners and complete German/formal German translations.
  • Fixed: Missing-author warnings, duplicate suffix output, multiple CSS classes, author-name lookup and archive context. Archive URLs follow the site language.
  • Misc: WordPress 6.7+ and PHP 8.0+ are required. Author terms, assignments and metadata remain intact. ClassicPress is not officially supported.

Install post-author-taxonomy.zip through WordPress. Use the snippet files instead of the plugin; they contain the taxonomy and shortcodes only.
