Maintenance release under the new ACME HTTP Connector project name. The PyPI package remains certbot-httpreq.

  • Fix cleanup timeout/TLS settings, accumulated challenge query parameters and environment value parsing.
  • Preserve explicit false settings and report invalid HTTP methods as failures.
  • Restore compatibility with modern Certbot interfaces and historical qualified plugin names.
  • Fix isolated packaging, optional certificate chains and shared header mutation.
  • Default HTTP timeout: 30 seconds; TLS verification enabled by default.
  • Add documentation, roadmap, regression tests and Trusted Publishing.

Requirements: Python >=3.10 and Certbot/ACME >=2.11,<6. Python 2 and older Certbot releases are no longer supported. Only the Certbot adapter is implemented in this release.

Validation: 21 tests on Certbot 2.11 and 5.8, plugin discovery/preparation, isolated wheel and sdist builds.

Install after the publishing workflow completes:
