More room to read, quicker controls when you need them.

Oma Preview 0.10.0 introduces edge-revealed tools and scrollbars, smoother page changes and a clear way to start over with a draft.

  • Secondary tools reveal immediately near the top edge; zoom and page status reveal near the bottom. They slide and fade without shifting the document. Active editing controls stay available, and F6 cycles keyboard focus.
  • Document and thumbnail scrollbars appear on edge approach or scrolling and remain visible during dragging.
  • Scrolling retains already-rendered detail. Newly encountered pages still use small previews during fast motion and sharpen at rest.
  • Single-page reading of unannotated PDFs retains the previous frame until the next is ready, eliminating blank flashes without pre-rendering a page cache.
  • Mouse-wheel ticks turn fitting single pages immediately; zoomed pages scroll within the page. Ctrl+wheel zooms in both reading modes.
  • Clear draft removes the current draft’s annotations, page edits and undo history after confirmation, then restores the original PDFs. It keeps edits open if the original files cannot be read or draft deletion fails.
  • Restored-draft notices stay below the tool drawer and dismiss after five seconds unless hovered. Find stays clear of the drawer too.

Screenshots and video

The refreshed 32-second demo, inline GIF and theme screenshots show the real 0.10.0 UI with the fictional “A slower weekend” booklet. They use isolated in-window input, edited timing and an illustrated pointer; they are not a performance benchmark.

Install on Arch / Omarchy

Reopen existing windows after upgrading. Qt 6.11+ is required. A user-local installation can shadow the system package; see the installation notes.

The release includes a source-pinned PKGBUILD, SRCINFO and SHA-256 checksums. ARM64 remains declared but untested. The Omarchy package submission is updated separately; inclusion remains subject to its maintainers’ review.

Validation

The clean Arch build and full suite passed. All 29 isolated UI checks also passed against the extracted x86-64 release package, including source recovery, native input, controls, draft clearing and rendering. Eight Rust tests, five CLI tests and six input-guard tests pass.

Fresh installation of the published package passed, including installed-file integrity/version and all 29 UI regressions against the installed UI and backend.
