Internet radio I actually listen to - underground electronic, freeform, jazz, ambient, and weird stuff. Every entry includes a direct stream URL you can paste into any app.

Quick Start

  1. Choose a player from Apps & Players.
  2. Search the player's built-in radio directory first.
  3. If it's not listed, long-press or right-click to copy the [Stream] link, then paste it into any media player to tune in.
  4. Prefer bulk import? Per-genre .m3u playlists are auto-generated from this list - download the one matching your interests.

Tip: Click a station's name to visit its official site. ⭐ = Personal favorites.

Finding Stream URLs

For stations that aren't listed in app databases or public radio directories.

Tip

Before digging for raw stream URLs manually, check the Station Directories & Databases section first. Many stations are already indexed on Radio Browser, FMStream, or other searchable directories.

How to find direct stream URLs

1. Check the site Look for links labeled "Listen Live," "Direct Stream," "MP3," "AAC," "M3U," "PLS", "Winamp"

2. The Stream Detector Method A fast way to capture hidden stream URLs from embedded web players.

  • Install the Stream Detector add-on for Firefox or Chrome
  • In the add-on options, uncheck Ignore direct links to media files.
  • Play the station in your browser.
  • Click the add-on icon and select "Copy all visible URLs".

3. The Inspector Method Open the web player, right-click and select Inspect (or press F12). Go to the Network tab, filter by "Media" or "XHR," and start the player. Look for requests ending in .mp3, .aac, .m3u, .m3u8, .pls or starting with icecast/shoutcast.

4. The Cat-Catch Method (for HLS/DASH streams the above don't catch) A heavier-duty sniffer with dedicated HLS (.m3u8) and DASH (MPD) parsers. Use it when Stream Detector or the Inspector method don't surface a clean, playable URL.

  • Install cat-catch for Chrome, Edge, or Firefox - use only these official links - the maintainers warn of ad-injected fake copies elsewhere.
  • Play the station, open the extension, and use the built-in M3U8/DASH parser to resolve the manifest into a direct stream URL.

Music Discovery & Non-Radio Listening

  • Every Noise at Once: Genre-space scatter-plot of Spotify's catalog, now a frozen snapshot after its creator's 2023 layoff.

  • Radiooooo: Interactive musical time machine, pick a country and decade to hear music from that era.
  • Reverberation Radio: Weekly mixes of forgotten strange pop and instrumentals from a collector collective, dormant since 2023.
  • youarelistening.to: Ambient music blended with city sounds, scanners, air traffic control, transit, since 2011.

Contributing

Suggest a station via GitHub or this Form.

Good suggestions include a homepage link, a direct stream URL, and a description covering what they play plus something distinctive - location, history, or concept. Human-curated and non-commercial stations fit best.
