Internal only: the build now uses a newer R8 than the one bundled with the Android Gradle Plugin. F-Droid rebuilds each release from source and checks the result byte for byte against the published APK; the previous release matched in everything except one string R8 writes into the compiled code, which turned out to vary between machines. Pinning a newer R8 picks up the determinism fixes made upstream. No user-visible change.

Which build to download

Twig-1.8.6-libre.apk is free software throughout, and is what F-Droid builds. Twig-1.8.6-full.apk adds read-only RAR support through junrar, which is under the UnRAR licence and is not free software — see LICENSE-EXCEPTIONS.md. The flavours differ in RAR alone.

Both carry arm64-v8a and x86_64, and both are signed with the same key, so either installs over the other without uninstalling.
