Fixes in this release

  • 🐛 Download speed test now reports correctly (previously showed 0.0) — reworked to a robust chunked download.
  • 📄 Added an MIT license — the source is now properly open source.

A complete macOS network toolkit: device discovery + fingerprinting, port scan with service banners, security flags, diagnostics (speed test, ping, traceroute, DNS, WHOIS, public IP), Wi-Fi analyzer, control actions (Wake-on-LAN, DNS switching, firewall), live monitoring, 7-day trends, per-device DNS logs (NextDNS/Pi-hole), and CSV/JSON/PDF export.

Download & install

Grab Sonar.dmg, open it, drag Sonar to Applications. Requires macOS 14+.

Free, un-notarized build — on first launch: right-click → Open → Open, or run xattr -dr com.apple.quarantine /Applications/Sonar.app. Then allow Local Network (required), Location (Wi-Fi details), and Notifications (optional).

No tracking, no dependencies, fully local and free.
