A refreshed desktop control center with consistent navigation, guided setup, and light/dark themes.

Download and install the app

For your first installation, download only the .dmg or .exe above. GitHub's automatically generated source-code archives are not app installers.

Automatic updates (OTA) — no manual download needed

Do not download the OTA support files yourself. The app retrieves and verifies them automatically when you update from inside the app. Keep these files on GitHub; they enable in-app updates.

Technical update files — handled automatically by the app
  • latest.json: the update feed with the available version, download locations, and signatures.
  • codex-cli-api_0.1.4_aarch64.app.tar.gz: the macOS automatic-update package.
  • .sig files: authenticity signatures. The update feed supplies these signatures to the app.
  • Windows automatic updates reuse the same .exe installer linked above.
  • SHA256SUMS and *.provenance.json: optional verification/build records; not needed for installation or in-app updates.

GitHub lists all assets together below; use the two installer links above for manual installation.

What's new

  • Actionable diagnostics and readiness that reflects current gateway/workspace health.

Fixes

  • Completed sign-in now shows a disabled grey "Signed in" button with a separate "Sign in again" action.
  • Fixed Settings restoration and a fast-restart race that could leave the dashboard blank.
  • Fixed resetting model selection to the gateway default and removed duplicate Settings controls.

Installation

  • macOS Apple Silicon: use the .dmg installer.
  • Windows x64: use the -setup.exe installer.
  • After installation, use the app's update controls to check for and install newer published versions. No manual OTA-file downloads are needed.
  • An app already on v0.1.4 will report that it is up to date; it will offer an update when a newer compatible release is published. Older builds without updater support require a one-time manual installation.

Verification and limitations

Local checks passed: 107 unit tests, 35 browser tests, 13 release checks, syntax/type checks, and a packaged macOS runtime smoke test. Browser sign-in/inference tests use isolated fixtures; no paid provider requests were made. Hosted builds validate both platforms and updater signatures before staging.

macOS is ad-hoc signed, not Apple-notarized. Windows is not Authenticode-signed; operating-system warnings may appear. Live provider sign-in, interactive Windows installation, and an installed cross-version OTA upgrade have not been verified for this release.
