Console App Configuration
The console application (
Bespoke.DynamicDnsUpdater.ConsoleApp.exe) can be configured either via the config file, or the command line, which saves the given parameters to the config file. The application configuration settings are stored in the file
To set configuration values via the command line, pass the parameter
-config in the command line as the first parameter to
Bespoke.DynamicDnsUpdater.ConsoleApp.exe. This is then followed by a series of one or more configuration settings. Each configuration settings is prefixed with a slash
/, which is followed by the key, and then a colon separates the key from the value.
Console App Configuration Setting Parameters
The Client Type IDs are:
1 - DNS-O-Matic
2 - Amazon Route 53
3 - Dnsimple
A comma delimited list of the fully qualified domain names to update. For instance: host.domain.com.
For providers that use username based authentication, the username for the dynamic DNS account.
For providers that use password based authentication, the password for the dynamic DNS account. Note: use the EncryptionEnabled configuration option to specify the encryption settings for this value.
For providers that use secret access key based authentication, the secret access key ID.
For providers that use secret access key based authentication, the secret access key.
/EncryptionEnabled (Default is false)
When this value is set to "true", and a password or secret access key is provided, an encrypted value is stored in the config file. The value for the "EncryptionEnabled" configuration key is also set to "true". This enables the decryption of the encrypted values when sending requests to the dynamic DNS provider.
